Responsibilities
- Build and ship Android experiences that help users access, organize, and build on content created with ChatGPT.
- Own features end to end, from product exploration and technical design through implementation, experimentation, launch, and iteration.
- Develop scalable, maintainable foundations for evolving Library experiences and emerging AI capabilities.
- Improve architecture, performance, reliability, responsiveness, accessibility, and visual polish across Android devices.
- Integrate Android platform capabilities to create intuitive, native mobile experiences.
- Partner with product, design, research, data science, and engineering teams to turn AI capabilities into useful products.
- Help establish technical direction and raise the quality bar for Android development.
Requirements and Preferred Qualifications
- Strong track record building and shipping high-quality Android products at scale.
- Deep expertise in Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, the Android SDK, and modern Android architecture and development practices.
- Strong product judgment and ability to turn ambiguous ideas into intuitive user experiences.
- Experience owning complex product experiences across the full Android stack.
- Ability to design scalable, maintainable systems that help other engineers move faster.
- Effective cross-functional collaboration with engineering, product, design, research, and data science teams.
- Interest in building zero-to-one experiences and adapting as AI capabilities and user expectations evolve.
