IT Systems Engineer, Mobile Client Platform Engineer
Own the design and global rollout of Anthropic’s corporate-issued mobile platform, including iOS and Android enrollment, fleet infrastructure, configuration-as-code, telemetry, security posture, logistics, and lifecycle management. The role requires deep iOS management expertise, mixed-fleet experience, and 8+ years operating large corporate device programs.

Responsibilities
- Design and launch Anthropic’s corporate-issued mobile device program, including device standards, eligibility, regional expansion, and BYOD coexistence.
- Own global hardware logistics, including procurement partners, regional coverage, spares, and refresh cycles.
- Integrate mobile configuration into a config-as-code pipeline with pull requests, CI, staging, canarying, testing, and progressive rollout.
- Build zero-touch enrollment for iOS and Android.
- Own corporate mobile policy, compliance, lifecycle management, and device wiping.
- Build fleet telemetry for device check-in, OS and patch state, and configuration drift.
- Manage mobile app approval, distribution, and update rollouts.
- Partner with Corporate Security on device posture, trust signals, and international travel devices.
Requirements
- 8+ years managing corporate mobile fleets at thousands-of-devices scale.
- Experience owning a global or multi-region mobile device program end to end.
- Deep iOS device-management expertise, including enrollment flows, Apple Business Manager, Automated Device Enrollment, APNs, certificate lifecycle, and declarative device management.
- Working knowledge of Android device management and mixed mobile fleets.
- Experience treating device configuration as code rather than relying solely on administrative consoles.
- Experience running MDM infrastructure, including self-hosted servers, AWS, Terraform, and configuration shipped as code.
- Experience building or launching a corporate device program and defining its relationship with BYOD.
- Ability to work through ambiguous, cross-functional problems and communicate technical concepts clearly.
- Clear technical documentation skills.
- Python and shell scripting proficiency.
- Experience with iOS and Android platform internals.
- Experience with modern MDM or UEM platforms such as Jamf, Intune, or Workspace ONE.
- Experience querying live device state at fleet scale.
- Experience automating enrollment, policy, patching, and app distribution.
- Experience with GitOps, CI, and endpoint security fundamentals.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

- ChromeOS fleet-management experience.
- Experience operating device programs across multiple regions and managing associated logistics.
- Experience building automated progressive rollouts gated by telemetry.
- Swift proficiency for device tooling.
- Experience using LLMs to automate operational work.
