Responsibilities
Define product requirements to address existing and new payroll and tax regulatory changes.
Define and execute audit processes to validate payroll calculations and system compliance.
Document and communicate regulatory requirements and changes to internal stakeholders.
Research and stay current on payroll tax regulations and rules.
Serve as Rippling’s liaison with federal, state, and local tax agencies.
Own payroll compliance functions for assigned states and ensure system compliance with local regulations.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in payroll tax and compliance positions.
Experience collaborating with Product and Engineering teams; experience building payroll software is preferred.
Ability to translate complex payroll concepts into actionable steps.
Experience working at a high-growth startup and managing competing priorities.
Experience collaborating with US federal, state, and local tax agencies.
