Sr. Manager, Field Engineering - Public Sector (Intel, Navy, Air Force)

Responsibilities

• Lead and promote a dynamic team of Solutions Architects focusing on enterprise software, big data/analytics, data engineering, data science, data warehousing, and generative AI.
• Partner with Sales and other Field Engineering teams to increase revenue and ensure customer success.
• Set vision and strategy alongside the sales Director to accelerate transformative outcomes for IC and DoD customers.
• Hire, train, lead, and grow the Solutions Architect team.
• Maintain a robust hiring pipeline and establish cross-functional relationships.
• Keep the team ahead of the technical curve through continuous learning.

Requirements

• Proven experience building and leading technical pre- or post-sales teams, including hiring, onboarding, and enabling professionals.
• 5+ years of experience in the data space with technical products (data warehousing, big data, machine learning, generative AI) OR 5+ years in mission-focused IC/DoD technology roles.
• Trusted advisor to technical executives on strategic data infrastructure decisions.
• Lead teams through technical qualifications, validations, architecture discussions, and product demonstrations.
• Strategic mindset focused on driving customer outcomes.
• Experience hiring top talent, ramping them up, and promoting into larger roles.
• Create positive team morale and foster relationships with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, and Customer Success.
• Technical and business skills to earn trust of Engineering leadership.
• Demonstrated architectural influence to guide complex architectures toward scalable solutions.

Compensation

• Local Pay Range: $192,100—$264,175 USD
• May include annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits.
