Runs end-to-end Malaysia payroll operations, filings, payments, and issue resolution while partnering with product and engineering teams on compliance and payroll tooling. Requires 4+ years of Malaysia payroll experience, client-facing experience, and strong knowledge of local regulations.

Responsibilities
- Execute timely payroll, filings, and payments for customers across key countries.
- Resolve issues and communicate with government agencies and external partners; interface directly with customers and resolve issues on their behalf.
- Work with Global Payroll Engineering and Product teams to ensure payroll software supports payroll and tax compliance requirements.
- Help quickly address product bugs and issues, including calculation and file-generation errors.
- Prioritize and implement internal tooling requirements.
- Process payroll activities according to company guidelines, social security legislation, and local tax requirements.
- Review and validate payroll calculations.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in Malaysia payroll processing.
- 2+ years of experience in a client-facing role.
- Direct experience running payroll with local Malaysia payroll software.
- Deep expertise in Malaysia payroll and the ability to run end-to-end processes in the country.
- Understanding of payroll concepts and regulations.
- Experience with payroll-related systems and software.
- Deep understanding of leave entitlements and labor legislation.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work under strict deadlines.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
Nice to Have
- Experience running payroll in additional APAC countries.
- Experience in additional LATAM or EMEA countries.
- Experience with Salesforce queues, JIRA, and Confluence.
Tools and Preferred Experience
- Google Suite or Microsoft Office, especially Docs, Sheets, and Excel, for data analysis and task organization.
