Robot System Testing Engineer
The Robot System Testing Engineer will define and execute system-level validation strategies for robotic platforms across simulation and physical robots. The role requires robotics testing expertise, C++ and Python proficiency, and familiarity with ROS 2, Linux, communication protocols, and simulation tools.

Responsibilities
- Define test strategies, including what should be tested at the full-system versus unit level.
- Execute tests in simulation and on physical robots, and report results to design teams.
- Allocate test cases between simulation and real-robot environments.
- Collaborate with the Simulation team to establish required simulation capabilities.
- Develop testing and reporting utilities.
- Define and manage the software-version approval pipeline for field deployments.
- Work closely with Controls, Autonomy, and Integration teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
- Familiarity with operating robotic systems in safety-critical environments.
- Deep experience defining system-level validation plans.
- Proficiency in C++ and Python.
- Familiarity with ROS 2 and Linux-based development and debugging environments.
- Working knowledge of robotics networking and communication protocols, such as CANopen, EtherCAT, and UART.
- Familiarity with robotics simulation tools such as Gazebo and Isaac Sim.
Nice-to-Haves
- Master of Science in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
- Experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop simulators and simulation environments.
- Experience defining and executing test plans for general-purpose robotics solutions in production contexts.
