Global Operations Associate

Responsibilities

• Ensure shipments move on time and handle exceptions appropriately.
• Meet internal KPIs and SLAs demonstrating quality delivery.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Resolve client issues quickly, ensure smooth operations at origin and destination, and escalate issues as needed.
• Avoid cost leakages and maintain cost-conscious operations.
• Coordinate day-to-day logistics operations with internal and external partners, including steamship lines, air carriers, intermodal and drayage vendors, customs, trade lane management, warehousing, transloading, trucking, and air operations teams.
• Execute end-to-end movement of import and export freight shipments within a regional network, including intermodal movements.
• Assist with shipments managed by partners as partner autonomy increases.
• Identify ideas to eliminate waste, improve customer experience, and introduce innovative supply-chain management practices.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree or completed professional training as a forwarding agent.
• 1–2+ years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, supply chain, or air carrier operations; air freight knowledge is a plus.
• Fluency in French and English; other European languages are a plus.
• Ability to adapt to new technology and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective time management and the ability to prioritize and manage a large volume of tasks.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to seek and receive feedback effectively.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Teamwork and relationship-building skills.
• Orientation toward working smarter and adopting best practices and standardization.
