Supports developers running Temporal at scale by troubleshooting distributed infrastructure, optimizing cloud performance, and building automation and observability solutions. Requires 6+ years of development experience, cloud-native architecture expertise, and at least one year in a customer-facing role.

Responsibilities
- Support developers deploying and scaling Temporal in cloud-native environments.
- Troubleshoot complex distributed-systems, infrastructure, performance, and availability issues.
- Develop automation for infrastructure operations, resilience engineering, and performance tuning.
- Build observability solutions using Prometheus and Grafana.
- Improve networking, including load balancing, DNS, and ingress/egress.
- Independently drive technical solutions for production issues and infrastructure best practices.
- Collaborate with developers, engineering teams, and product teams to improve scalability, performance, reliability, and developer experience.
- Influence platform improvements and self-service diagnostic infrastructure.
- Communicate technical solutions clearly and work effectively with remote teams.
Requirements
- Reside within the Pacific time zone in the United States.
- 6+ years of professional developer experience.
- Fluency in one or more of Python, Java, Go, or TypeScript.
- Experience deploying and managing medium- to large-scale architectures, such as Kubernetes or Docker.
- Experience with Prometheus and Grafana.
- At least 1 year of internal or external customer-facing experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to use data and facts to guide decisions.
Nice to Have
- Customer-facing experience as a professional services consultant, solutions architect, or customer engineer.
- Experience with security certificate management and implementation.
- Ability to translate use cases into Temporal design decisions and architecture best practices.
- Experience with EKS, GKE, OpenTracing, Terraform, Ansible, or CDK.
