Chief of Staff

Chief of Staff will drive CEO priorities, prepare executive communications, manage leadership cadence, and lead ambiguous, high-priority cross-functional initiatives. The role requires strong judgment, communication, analytical, and operational skills, plus familiarity with national security programs.

Responsibilities

  • Translate CEO priorities into clear actions, owners, deadlines, and decisions.
  • Keep critical initiatives moving and surface blockers requiring CEO involvement.
  • Advise the CEO on strategic and organizational issues.
  • Prepare presentations, briefing materials, talking points, and decision memos for board, investor, customer, and partner engagements.
  • Support company-wide and executive communications by turning complex topics into concise narratives, recommendations, and decisions.
  • Coordinate preparation for high-stakes meetings, including those related to U.S. national security.
  • Prepare leadership meeting agendas covering priorities, risks, changes, and required decisions.
  • Track decisions, actions, owners, and deadlines; ensure follow-through.
  • Partner with Business Operations on company metrics, planning, and operating processes.
  • Own urgent or strategic special projects without a natural owner.
  • Structure ambiguous problems and drive them through resolution.
  • Coordinate cross-functional initiatives across Growth, Product, Engineering, Programs, and Operations.
  • Support major captures, partnerships, executive hiring, AI adoption, fundraising, and critical customer situations.

Requirements

  • Understanding of national security programs and initiatives.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong operational ability and the capacity to take ambiguous problems from idea through execution.
  • High ownership, urgency, and a bias toward closing loops.
  • Excellent judgment and ability to work independently with senior executives.
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort with business, financial, and operating metrics.
  • Ability to move fluidly between strategy and detailed execution.
  • Comfortable influencing without formal authority.
  • Must satisfy applicable U.S. Government export-control authorization requirements, including eligible U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, refugee or asylee status, or other required authorization.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Annual salary range: $170,000–$210,000.
  • Unlimited PTO with a requirement to take 15 days off.
