Staff Product Designer — AX & Growth
Staff Product Designer shaping agent experiences, trust and control patterns, and self-service growth journeys for AI-powered developers. Responsibilities
Agent Experience (AX)
- Shape Auth0's agentic vision alongside product managers and engineers.
- Define interaction models for agent signup, execution, and backend operations across largely invisible-to-screen experiences.
- Define trust, transparency, and control mechanisms for humans orchestrating agents, including errors, edge cases, and audit trails.
- Identify high-value problems, establish reusable patterns and protocols, and drive adoption.
- Own the full design lifecycle: definition, prototyping, validation, and iteration.
Growth & Onboarding (DLG)
- Define signup and onboarding for AI-powered developers and automated workflows.
- Own subscription, pricing, and packaging strategy end to end in partnership with Product and Engineering.
- Define design-impact measurement using tools such as Pendo and Heap.
- Lead research and translate insights into action.
- Simplify high-leverage developer workflows into elegant, self-service experiences.
Craft & Influence
- Partner with the design manager and raise the craft bar across the global design team.
- Mentor designers.
- Translate AI and technical concepts into practical guidance for product managers and engineers.
- Represent design in roadmap discussions for Agent Experience and Growth.
Requirements
- 10+ years of human-centered product design experience.
- Portfolio demonstrating strategic ownership and strong craft.
- Experience building experiences or practices from scratch without an established roadmap.
- Comfort designing for headless, low-UI, and API-first surfaces.
- Track record owning onboarding and self-service experiences at scale.
- Fluency with PLG and conversion metrics.
- Comfort with ambiguity, technical conversations, and fast-moving, undefined team settings.
- Ability to elevate others and build alignment without formal authority.
Nice to Have
- Experience designing for AI agents or agentic systems, including invisible-UI, trust, or automation problems.
- Experience with Pendo, Heap, or similar product-analytics tools.
- Engineering or front-end background.
