Legal Operations Manager

The Legal Operations Manager will build and optimize Legal & Compliance workflows, technology, reporting, governance processes, and vendor operations. The role requires at least five years of legal operations experience and strong cross-functional execution, communication, and legal technology skills.

Responsibilities

  • Build Legal & Compliance operations, including the roadmap, intake and routing system, operating cadence, and cross-functional follow-through.
  • Optimize the contract lifecycle management (CLM) platform and procurement workflows, including intake, templates, playbooks, approvals, repository standards, reporting, and integrations.
  • Build dashboards covering request volume, contract cycle time, outside-counsel spend, audit findings, policy implementation, training completion, and other operational indicators.
  • Plan and coordinate recurring corporate, contract, employment, and other audit cycles.
  • Build a knowledge base, FAQs, self-service guidance, regulatory updates, and responsible AI-enabled tools.
  • Manage materials and trackers for financings, corporate governance, Board processes, entity records, and Corporate Secretary responsibilities.
  • Coordinate company policy updates and core training rollouts.
  • Manage budgets, invoices, accruals, outside-counsel relationships, and vendor performance.

Requirements

  • At least five years of experience in legal operations, ideally including prior paralegal or similar experience.
  • Experience building systems and driving cross-functional execution in a fast-moving organization.
  • Expertise deploying AI tools and other technical solutions to improve legal operations.
  • Experience with contract lifecycle management, matter intake, knowledge management, procurement, legal technology, and data-driven operations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to move quickly, identify efficient approaches, and deliver against demanding goals.
