Strategic Finance Associate

Own financial modeling, planning, reporting, and strategic analysis while partnering with go-to-market, Operations, and executive leaders. The role requires at least three years of high-rigor finance experience, strong modeling and analytical skills, and the ability to communicate recommendations clearly.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning.
  • Partner with go-to-market leaders on pipeline performance, quota attainment, and revenue trends.
  • Advise Operations by translating operational drivers into financial outcomes and improving unit-economics visibility.
  • Build and maintain executive reporting and dashboards.
  • Drive the finance perspective of monthly and quarterly close, including variance analysis and root-cause investigation.
  • Improve financial processes, reporting infrastructure, and analytical frameworks.
  • Support M&A and fundraising, including financial due diligence, valuation analysis, and investor-facing materials.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in strategic finance, FP&A, investment banking, private equity, or a comparable high-rigor finance environment.
  • Ability to own analytical projects from problem framing through recommendation with minimal oversight.
  • Experience partnering with non-finance stakeholders and communicating financial data clearly.
  • Working knowledge of financial planning tools, Excel or Google Sheets modeling, BI platforms, and SQL or data-querying tools.
  • Strong first-principles problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.
  • Clear, structured communication skills for executive audiences.
  • High ownership and accountability for outcomes.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a high-growth SaaS or healthcare technology company.
  • Familiarity with NetSuite, Salesforce, or similar ERP and CRM platforms.
  • Exposure to SQL or data-querying tools for self-serve financial analysis.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base salary range: $121,000–$146,000 CAD.
