Customs Analyst

Responsibilities

  • Process and submit customs declarations accurately and efficiently for clients across the EMEA region.
  • Conduct tariff classification of goods and ensure correct valuation in compliance with local and international regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal operations teams and external clients to gather documentation and resolve customs-related queries.
  • Monitor and interpret changes in customs laws and regulations, advising on potential impacts and necessary adjustments.
  • Identify and escalate complex customs issues to senior analysts or management, contributing to timely resolutions.
  • Maintain meticulous records and ensure all customs activities adhere to compliance standards.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of experience in customs brokerage, trade compliance, or a related field.
  • Solid understanding of customs procedures, import/export regulations, and tariff classification within the EMEA region.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in customs declaration software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A compliance-first attitude.
  • Fluency in German and English.
