Responsibilities
- Develop Shepherd's AI product strategy with other engineers.
- Iterate and experiment on AI implementation across the platform.
- Work across the full stack and different disciplines (e.g., underwriting, design, product management).
- Play an integral role in building company culture and mentor other engineers.
- Balance innovation with pragmatic delivery, staying current with emerging tech.
- Contribute to product strategy and architectural decisions.
- Collaborate closely with PM, CTO, underwriters, and actuaries.
Requirements

- Take end-to-end ownership of features and systems.

- Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript (backend and/or frontend).
- 5+ years working experience, preferably full-stack, delivering high-impact products.
