Engineering Manager, AI Transformation
Leads the technical direction and hands-on delivery of production AI systems, including agents, RAG pipelines, and LLM automations. The role manages engineering standards, evaluation practices, tooling, mentorship, and cross-functional execution while requiring substantial software, ML, or AI systems experience.

Responsibilities
- Set and enforce engineering standards across the team, including architecture decisions, code quality, review practices, and evaluation frameworks.
- Lead the design and implementation of AI-powered systems, including agents, RAG pipelines, LLM-based automations, and workflow integrations, from specification through production.
- Upskill analysts and junior engineers on AI engineering fundamentals, reliable pipelines, LLM-output evaluation, debugging, and productionization.
- Own technical tooling decisions, including models, orchestration frameworks, and infrastructure patterns.
- Contribute directly to code and technical problem-solving.
- Translate ambiguous business problems into clear technical specifications.
- Collaborate with Analytics, Sales, CX, Finance, and Operations teams to develop reliable AI solutions.
- Define AI evaluation practices and feedback loops for continuous improvement.
- Partner with the AI Transformation Manager on the technical roadmap and engineering investment priorities.
- Identify and address technical debt before it creates reliability problems.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering, ML engineering, or AI systems development.
- Hands-on experience building and deploying production LLM-powered systems, such as agents, RAG pipelines, or AI-driven automations.
- 1–3 years of management experience.
- Strong Python skills, including writing, reviewing, and debugging production-grade code.
- Experience leading or mentoring engineers or analysts and raising the technical level of teammates.
- Strong understanding of AI evaluation and feedback loops.
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably GCP.
- Experience across APIs, data pipelines, infrastructure, and monitoring needed to deploy AI tools.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate with distributed and offshore teams and deliver complex projects on time.
- Availability during US-overlapping hours, 9 AM–6 PM ART.
