Executive Communications Manager

Shapes Figma’s executive narratives across essays, keynotes, social posts, op-eds, media, and other channels. The role requires exceptional executive writing, strategic judgment, media relations experience, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Build the narrative framework executives use to tell Figma’s story and their own.
  • Partner with the communications team on media strategy, messaging, and channel selection.
  • Collaborate with executives to sharpen their ideas and broader points of view.
  • Build systems and infrastructure for consistent, differentiated executive storytelling.
  • Measure impact and drive experimentation in executive communications.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience crafting narratives for senior executives across formats, channels, and audiences.
  • Track record of writing for C-suite executives with strong opinions and high standards.
  • Executive presence and ability to influence people without direct authority.
  • Media relations experience and sound judgment regarding press, messaging, and reputation.
  • Comfort with ambiguity, deep curiosity, and a record of delivering strong work.

Nice-to-haves

  • Journalism or editorial background.
  • Experience in technology, creative work, or product design and development.
  • Strong business literacy and ability to translate complex financial and technical topics for broad audiences.
  • Passion for Figma and its products.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual base salary range: $153,000–$269,000 USD.
  • Equity and benefits including health, dental, and vision coverage; retirement contributions; parental leave and family-planning support; mental health and wellness benefits; paid time off; paid sick leave and holidays.
  • Additional benefits may include recharge days, cell phone and home internet reimbursements, lifestyle spending accounts, and an annual bonus plan for eligible non-sales roles.
