Responsibilities
- Define the multi-quarter technical roadmap for Post-Booking domains, including backend and frontend web clients, technical debt, scalable architecture, APIs, and data models.
- Lead complex, cross-team technical initiatives.
- Translate ambiguous, high-stakes business goals into technical strategies, designs, and experiments.
- Serve as a JavaScript subject-matter expert and mentor engineers.
- Champion high-quality testing, AI-driven development, and Spec-Driven Development using advanced AI tools.
- Produce durable technical documentation.
- Build customer experience features with high-performance Node.js services and AI-driven enhancements.
- Modernize microservice infrastructure through critical replatforming work.
- Design and own observability and alerting for critical systems.
Requirements
- 4 years of professional software engineering experience, including frontend and backend work.
- Extensive professional experience with Node.js and microservice architecture.
- Strong SQL and data modeling experience for financial use cases.
- Hands-on experience with asynchronous and event-driven systems.
- Proven ability to build, debug, and scale distributed systems.
- Excellent communication, ability to influence without authority, and strong ownership of systems handling money and trust.

Compensation and Benefits
- Base pay range: $180,000–$192,075.
- Total compensation includes base pay, bonus, benefits, and perks.
