Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive tool control program, including policies, procedures, tool inventories, shadow boards, tracking systems, and inspection protocols.
  • Lead daily tool room and tool issue point operations, ensuring tool accountability and availability for maintenance and field operations.
  • Maintain tool control documentation aligned with regulatory, OEM, and internal quality requirements.
  • Manage the tool calibration program, including scheduling, repairs, and replacements.
  • Conduct tool audits, inspections, and discrepancy investigations; resolve and report missing or damaged tools.
  • Train technicians on tool control standards, handling procedures, documentation accuracy, and safety expectations.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, safety, supply chain, and engineering teams to meet program and aircraft operational requirements.
  • Manage tool procurement, calibration scheduling, repair processes, and replacement planning.
  • Monitor and report tool control metrics, compliance findings, and program performance to senior leadership.
  • Drive continuous improvements to tool control processes, systems, and workflow efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, FAA, DoD, and applicable internal safety and quality standards.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience as an inventory clerk or in a similar role.
  • At least 1 year of inventory experience using an ERP system.
  • Availability to work either 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. or 10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and other spreadsheet software.
  • Strong problem-solving and prioritization skills.
  • High level of personal accountability and integrity.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

  • 3+ years of ERP inventory experience.
  • Forklift operator certification.
  • Experience with RFID scanner inventory systems.
