Founding US Solutions Engineer

The founding US Solutions Engineer will own technical customer relationships from sales discovery through production go-live, designing integrations, troubleshooting APIs, and building scalable implementation playbooks. The role requires 4+ years in customer-facing technical work, strong API skills, and experience with complex B2B SaaS deals.

About the role

Responsibilities

  • Own the technical sales cycle from discovery and demos through signed contract and production deployment.
  • Translate customer requirements into integration designs and create technical proposals covering architecture, security, and implementation approach.
  • Partner with Account Executives to close complex deals with engineering and executive stakeholders.
  • Drive implementations to go-live, build implementation plans, troubleshoot API issues, and unblock customers.
  • Serve as the technical escalation point until customers are live and successful.
  • Create demo environments, code samples in Python and Node.js, and Postman collections.
  • Write integration guides, architecture diagrams, troubleshooting documentation, security questionnaire responses, and technical one-pagers.
  • Document repeatable playbooks for discovery, scoping, and implementation.
  • Feed customer insights to Product and Engineering to shape the roadmap.
  • Help define hiring and onboarding as the US solutions team grows.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, or technical customer-facing roles at a B2B SaaS company.
  • Hands-on API experience, including reading documentation, writing sample code, and debugging integration issues.
  • Track record working on complex deals with technical and non-technical stakeholders, with consistent deal values of $100,000–$150,000 or more.
  • Strong communication skills, including whiteboarding architecture with engineers and explaining value to executives.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and building processes from scratch.
  • Willingness to work onsite in New York City at least 4 days per week.

Compensation and Benefits

  • $180,000–$220,000 OTE plus equity.
