Responsibilities
- Investigate and resolve escalated payments fraud cases, including chargebacks, ACH returns, wire disputes, and account takeovers, across phone, messaging, and email.
- Analyze fraud trends and payment patterns to recommend improvements to detection logic and reduce loss exposure.
- Handle premium and high-complexity customer cases and executive escalations, making risk decisions and coordinating with stakeholders.
- Partner with Product, Data Science, Risk ML, and Engineering on risk strategies, rule logic, and fraud prevention processes.
- Identify workflow inefficiencies and recommend process improvements, documentation, and standardization.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in payments risk, fraud analysis, or risk operations within financial services, fintech, or e-commerce.
- Hands-on experience investigating chargebacks, ACH fraud, or unauthorized payment activity.
- Ability to conduct fraud investigations across phone, chat, and email and make independent risk decisions.
- Working knowledge of payment systems and fraud detection methodologies.
- Experience with a related risk discipline such as Manual Account Recovery (MAR) or Account Takeover (ATO).
- Proficiency in SQL or similar querying tools, with the ability to analyze fraud data and communicate data-backed recommendations.
- Willingness to work shifts and weekends supporting 24/7 fraud operations.
- Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight.
Compensation
- Annual base salary: ₹817,047–₹860,050 INR, excluding bonus.
- Total compensation may also include bonus eligibility and benefits.
