Engineering Manager, Nova
Leads and grows the Nova Product engineering team responsible for customer-facing subscriptions, payments, distributions, capital calls, and investor experiences. This hands-on management role requires engineering leadership, customer-product scaling experience, and familiarity with TypeScript and high-stakes compliance environments.

Responsibilities
- Own the results of the Nova Product team responsible for customer experiences across subscriptions, data rooms, distributions, capital calls, the LP wallet, and investor portal.
- Grow the team from approximately 4 engineers to 5–7 and help shape the broader Product group as it scales.
- Partner with Product, Design, stakeholders, and Foundations engineering teams to deliver the roadmap.
- Set technical direction with senior and staff engineers.
- Maintain high quality across high-stakes, compliance-sensitive workflows involving money and investor identity.
- Stay hands-on enough to unblock the team, maintain technical context, and make sound tradeoffs.
Requirements
- 2+ years of engineering management experience, including hiring, developing, and supporting engineers.
- Experience shipping and scaling customer-facing products, ideally in complex, quality-critical domains.
- Experience working in high-stakes environments with strict compliance requirements.
- Experience with a modern TypeScript stack, or the ability to learn it quickly.
- Strong startup judgment and comfort with ambiguity.
Nice to Have
- Experience in fintech, payments, identity, or KYC.
Success Measures
- Quickly learn the team's systems and understand the full Nova product surface.
- Improve the quality and self-service capabilities of flagship workflows, including subscriptions, distributions, and capital calls.
- Ship payments, wallet, and identity products on a coherent architecture while maintaining reliability at scale.
- Build a healthy, growing team with a clear roadmap and staffing toward 5–7 engineers.
