The SDET will design and execute automated and manual testing for SaaS product features and data pipelines, build load-testing and release automation frameworks, and collaborate with developers to ensure product quality. Responsibilities
- Define, develop, and implement test requirements for data pipelines and product features.
- Develop a deep understanding of product behavior and user scenarios.
- Work cross-functionally with developers to gather input on test scenarios.
- Assess overall product quality and define strategies for delivering high-quality features.
- Develop automated tests and automation frameworks to reduce feature release time.
- Develop frameworks for load and stress testing.
- Plan, execute, monitor, and validate testing processes.
- Support manual functional testing, including creating and executing test cases.
- Develop builds and release pipelines for automation testing.
- Correct build errors and maintain formal release records tracking release content.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of experience.
- Strong experience in automation testing.
- Experience with generative AI for test case design and automation script scaffolding.
- Familiarity with data-driven and model-based testing approaches.
- Exposure to observability and monitoring tools for proactive defect detection.
- Strong debugging skills.
- Experience testing data pipelines and complexities tailored to individual customer needs.
- Experience with web application standards and APIs.
- Hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman.
- Strong knowledge of testing SaaS and cloud-delivered applications.
- Experience with test and defect management tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, written, and oral communication skills; self-starter and highly motivated.
Nice-to-haves
- Familiarity with Datadog, Grafana, ELK, or OpenTelemetry.
- Experience with Selenium, Cucumber, Katalon Studio, Rest Assured, SoapUI, or similar test automation frameworks.
- Experience with Python or Java.
- Experience with JMeter, Jenkins, load testing, regression testing, database testing, SQL, MongoDB, and performance testing.
- Familiarity with AI-powered testing platforms such as Testim, Mabl, Cursor, Copilot, or ChatGPT for test case generation.
