Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test features for road network applications such as the Editor, Map Health monitor, and map validation pipeline.
- Build out the content pipeline and automation that enables Cartographers to produce ZRN data accurately and quickly.
- Create software requirements, design documentation, test plans, and other supporting documentation.
- Contribute to all phases of the software development cycle including prototyping, requirements capture, design, implementation, and validation.
- Build software and systems that enable the Cartography team, including 3D map editors and enterprise map health monitors.
- Create new APIs and ensure users are supported as they build map-driven systems.
- Build content validators, post-process tools, and other tools to aid Cartographers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science (or related field) or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of industry experience.
- Fluency with Python or C++.
- Experience with OpenGL or WebGL and graphics programming.
- Experience with AWS and cloud based service providers.
- Experience with Fast API and development of REST web services.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with React, Javascript, and web application development.
- Experience with Qt or equivalent UI framework.
- Experience with mapping, GIS systems, geometry, routing, or graph theory.
- Experience with data/content pipelines (ETL, etc.).
