Senior Product Manager, Expansion

Owns Apollo’s customer expansion product strategy, including seat growth, upsells, plan upgrades, and monetization experiences. Requires 4+ years of SaaS product management experience, strong revenue impact, customer empathy, technical fluency, and AI-assisted prototyping skills.

Responsibilities

  • Own customer expansion at Apollo, including seat additions, credit purchases, add-ons, and plan upgrades.
  • Lead team invite and joiner experiences that convert new seats into active, paying users.
  • Improve admin upgrade request flows.
  • Design credit and plan upsells driven by product usage.
  • Create handoffs that guide qualified teams to Apollo's sales team.
  • Build reporting to identify healthy expansion and revenue leakage.
  • Conduct customer research with paying customers, administrators, and end users.
  • Translate customer insights into product strategy, roadmap priorities, and product changes.
  • Prototype quickly with Claude Code and other AI tools.
  • Write clear specifications, define quality standards, and make product tradeoffs.
  • Partner with design and engineering on delivery.
  • Instrument funnels, track conversion and expansion metrics, and iterate based on results.
  • Align with Free-to-Paid, Pricing & Packaging, Sales, Support, and other cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of product management experience in SaaS.
  • Proven ownership of SaaS products from end to end.
  • Track record of solving impactful problems that unlock revenue.
  • Strong product judgment, prioritization, and decision-making skills.
  • Creative problem-solving ability.
  • Customer empathy and a focus on user speed and confidence.
  • Ability to influence without authority and communicate clearly.
  • Strong execution, measurement, and iteration skills.
  • Technical fluency in performance, reliability, and integrations.
  • AI-native approach, including prototyping with tools such as Claude Code and Cursor.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with product-led growth, monetization, billing, or expansion surfaces.

Compensation and Benefits

  • ATS-listed total cash compensation range: $140,800–$202,400 USD annually.
