Responsibilities
- Own direct sales cycles and sales objectives across a named national book of labor health and welfare funds.
- Prospect, manage pipeline, and measure sales quotas.
- Sell to boards of trustees by building fund-office relationships, navigating joint labor-management dynamics, and winning support from both labor and management.
- Maintain market and competitor knowledge to communicate Garner's value proposition.
- Develop strategic relationships with fund professionals, including administrators, actuaries, counsel, consultants, and carrier labor channels.
- Participate in the conference circuit, including IFEBP, and influence buying decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- 7+ years of deep sales experience focused on health benefits, including medical, ancillary, or vendor offerings, through brokers, consultants, and insurers.
- 5+ years selling into labor or Taft-Hartley funds strongly preferred.
- Fluency in joint boards, collective bargaining linkage, and fund professionals such as administrators, actuaries, counsel, and investment consultants.
- Existing, reference-checkable relationships with trustees, fund administrators, and the labor consultant ecosystem, particularly Segal.
- Credibility with union leadership.
- Data literacy and the ability to turn complex, disparate datasets into actionable insights.
- Experience developing sales processes, playbooks, KPIs, and collateral, and executing sales strategies for long-term success.
- Comfort using AI tools to improve work and accountability for measurable outcomes.
Compensation and Benefits
- Target total compensation, inclusive of base and bonus: $425,000–$475,000.
