Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Sales Engineers, driving performance, engagement, and long-term career growth through regular feedback and structured development programs.
- Partner with senior Sales leadership on regional strategy, multi-quarter planning, annual capacity planning, and forecasting; anticipate resource needs and business priorities two to three quarters ahead.
- Provide executive presence in strategic, high-impact deals and own regional field execution by enabling senior stakeholder engagement and technical credibility.
- Oversee consistent, high-quality delivery across the regional technical sales cycle, including evaluation, customer engagement, and deal progression.
- Recruit and onboard top talent from individual contributors through manager levels, building high-performing teams and accelerating ramp through structured onboarding and enablement.
- Manage regional operations, including resource allocation, utilization, KPI tracking, productivity, and skills development, ensuring effective coverage across the assigned area.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Marketing, Enablement, and Support at senior levels to align regional strategy, go-to-market execution, and customer experience.
- Drive operational excellence across the region through process improvement, data quality, scalable evaluation frameworks, and initiatives that improve team effectiveness and business impact.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience managing Sales Engineers and/or frontline leaders in a customer-facing technical organization, with a record of managing team performance, developing employees, and scaling high-performing teams.
- 7+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or a customer-facing technical role.
- Demonstrated experience partnering strategically with senior Sales leadership to align regional strategy, long-term planning, and forecasting.
- Ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels while balancing multi-quarter planning with daily team execution and priorities.
- Strong collaboration and influence skills across functions and with senior stakeholders.
- Background or knowledge in public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud; Kubernetes; APM and tracing; security; developer experience; and observability.
- Demonstrated ability to use and scale AI tools.
- Growth-oriented mindset, with curiosity and openness to change.
- Willingness to travel as needed to support customers.
