Responsibilities
- Build and ship well-tested features across frontend and backend systems with guidance from senior engineers.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers in an agile environment.
- Write clean, readable, tested code; participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback.
- Investigate and resolve bugs and technical issues.
- Contribute ideas to technical design discussions.
- Learn the company's technology stack and domain, seeking feedback and mentorship.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 0–2 years of professional, internship, or project experience in software engineering, including frontend and backend development.
- Familiarity with Java, Spring Boot, and database technologies such as MongoDB.
- Basic understanding of RESTful APIs.
- Working knowledge of JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and React.
- Exposure to npm and Webpack.
- Understanding of Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Familiarity with, or interest in learning, CI/CD and cloud environments.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Curiosity, eagerness to learn, receptiveness to feedback, collaboration, attention to detail, and dependability.
- Work from the Austin office three days per week.
- Work must be performed within the United States by individuals authorized to work in the U.S. who are U.S. citizens.
Nice-to-haves
- Interest in or willingness to learn TypeScript, Redux, Zustand, React Query, and Jest.
- Experience with AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: $80,000–$100,000 annually.
