Mercor is seeking an IT Operations Lead to manage the reliability, security, and scalability of identity, endpoint, and IT infrastructure systems. This role focuses on transforming reactive support into strategic, automated solutions, troubleshooting complex issues, and mentoring future IT team members.
We're hiring our first IT Operations Lead to own the reliability, security, and scalability of our identity, endpoint, and IT infrastructure systems. You'll partner directly with the Head of IT to transform reactive support into strategic, automated systems that prevent problems before they occur — balancing speed, security, and an exceptional user experience for technical teams building the future of AI.
You'll be based in our San Francisco or New York City office, collaborating closely with Security, Engineering, and People Ops.
You'll spend most of your day handling tickets and incidents, but you won't just fix problems, you'll ask why they exist and work to prevent them. If you see the same issue three times, you'll write the runbook, propose the automation, or flag the upstream fix. As we scale, you'll hire and mentor the next IT Operations team members, shaping how we support a fast-growing AI company.

As an IT Support Engineer, you will provide frontline IT support and manage endpoint operations, focusing on building reliable systems for a distributed team. You will administer identity and access workflows, manage endpoint devices, and support SaaS administration.
Leads operational IT service delivery for Corp-ITS team, managing ticket workflows, SLAs, escalations, and automation in JSM. Provides hands-on support, mentors staff, and coordinates cross-functionally with engineering and stakeholders for highly technical users. Requires 5+ years IT experience with scripting and ITIL.
