About the role
Responsibilities
- Build new products and features for Watershed’s biggest customers and most complex use cases
- Build a sandboxed agentic workflow that translates emissions reductions scenarios from natural language into repeatable data transformations
- Build a full-stack application to manage supply chain data, including data upload, AI model orchestration, and integration with the rest of Watershed’s platform
- Build a new data model to extend our core backing database and expose more granular emissions breakdowns to customers
- Work across the full stack, with an emphasis on back-end systems and data models
- Partner with Product Management and Design to understand user workflows and needs and translate them into technical solutions
- Partner with AI engineers and climate scientists to build ergonomic and trustworthy agentic workflows
- Lead by example by writing performant, well-crafted, extensible, and maintainable code
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering industry experience across both front-end and back-end, with an emphasis on back-end
- Track record of ownership and high-impact projects
- Experience building early-stage products
- Experience with, or interest in, building AI-powered and data-centric products
- Mission-driven and excited to build products that will help companies reduce their emissions
