Senior Manager, Solutions Engineering
Lead and grow a team of Solutions Engineers for the Eastern US region, partnering with Sales and cross-functional teams to drive pre-sales strategy and technical account execution.
What You Will Be Doing
- Recruit, hire, and develop new solutions engineers and coach them on providing technical expertise to customers through sales presentations, solution designs, demonstrations, and POVs
- Partner with your Sales Leader counterparts to create a strategic GTM plan for the Eastern US region with clear deliverables, alignment with cross-functional teams, and measurable business outcomes
- Be a key member of the Eastern US leadership team for Tines with ownership of all pre-sales aspects of the business for the region
- Participate in success execution as both a player and a coach, performing account activities including opportunity coaching, account strategy, and technical executive sponsorship
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Sales Enablement, Product & Engineering, and the Partnerships teams to create a consistent and scalable customer journey
- Foster an inclusive and collaborative solutions engineering environment with a culture of coaching, learning, growth, development, and feedback
- Act as an escalation point for pre-sales technical issues from the field
- Provide effective technical leadership and direction in customer meetings – sharing technical trends, competitive, and product information
What You'll Need to Be Successful
- A strong technical background in automation, security, and traditional integration technologies
- Prior hands-on experience in solutions engineering or technical pre-sales
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts in a simple yet comprehensive way to non-technical and technical professionals alike
- Experience in nurturing the development of highly skilled teams
- Ability to gain trust across internal and external functional leaders
- Exceptional communication skills to understand customer needs and navigate to successful outcomes
- Decision making based on data with a willingness to experiment and iterate
- Ability to motivate change within customers and internal organization
Preferred Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Solutions Engineering leader
- Track record in building organizations and hiring and training top talent
- Ability to identify and communicate the business value of technology decisions
- Experience as a Pre-Sales Engineer within the enterprise software industry
- A passion for team and team members' success by providing technical guidance and coaching and enabling career development
Compensation
- Target Annual Compensation: $270-285K OTE
Sr. Sales Engineer
As a Senior Sales Engineer, you will develop and nurture technical and executive relationships, present solutions, and deliver powerful demos. You will leverage your expertise in cloud technologies and security to support deal progression and enable partners.
Sr. Enterprise Sales Engineer - Bay Area
Sales Engineer owning technical aspects of enterprise deals, conducting demos and POCs, and partnering with sales to win new logos and expand existing accounts. Requires 5+ years enterprise sales engineering experience and deep expertise in containers, cloud, and security.
Senior Systems (Sales) Engineer
Serve as primary technical sales resource for large enterprise accounts, driving evaluations, demos, and POCs for a network digital twin platform. Requires 5+ years enterprise networking sales experience and strong technical communication skills.
Director, Solutions Engineering
Lead and scale the pre-sales technical function as Director of Solutions Engineering. Own demos, POCs, technical strategy for enterprise deals involving AI architecture, security, and integrations while building the SE team and playbook.
