Sales Engineer I
Sales Engineer supporting Mid-Market segment by serving as technical advisor, conducting demos and POCs, and collaborating with Account Executives to drive complex sales cycles. Requires 3+ years customer-facing experience including 1+ year in sales engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor throughout the sales cycle, aligning platform value with prospect needs
- Communicate with leaders in product, finance, and engineering from front-line managers to C-level executives
- Translate product capabilities into business impact and align solutions with strategic priorities
- Work closely with Account Executives to navigate complex sales cycles, delivering product demonstrations and strategic recommendations
- Assist in designing and executing proof of concepts to showcase how the platform solves customer challenges
- Partner with Product, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to ensure customer success and refine sales approach
- Develop deep understanding of the software development lifecycle, AI CodeGen tool space, and platform
Requirements
- 3+ years of customer-facing experience and minimum 1 year in a Sales Engineering role
- Strong grasp of modern software development practices with ability to explain complex technical concepts
- Hands-on experience or familiarity with AI-powered code generation tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude)
- Passion for solving customer problems and delivering business outcomes
- Ability to present, demo, and articulate technical solutions to various personas across organizational levels
- Thrives in fast-moving environments; quick to learn, iterate, and take initiative
- Works cross-functionally with sales, product, and customer success teams
