Legal Assistant
Legal Assistant supporting in-house counsel with contract workflows, document management, compliance tracking, and AI-driven process improvements. Requires 2+ years legal admin/paralegal experience and strong organizational skills.
What you'll do
Legal Administrative Support
- Triage and respond to inbound Legal requests and external notices, tracking deadlines so nothing gets missed
- Own legal calendaring across filings, renewals, and compliance obligations
- Coordinate invoice processing and vendor payments with Finance
- Manage physical mail, board prep logistics, and note-taking for key Legal meetings
Document and Knowledge Management
- Maintain Legal's document and contract repositories in Google Drive - naming conventions, folder structure, access controls
- Manage DocuSign workflows: track envelope status, store completed agreements, keep records clean
- Support document migrations, system cleanups, and privacy-related documentation (DPAs, GDPR requests, data flows)
- Leverage AI tools and automation to reduce manual work, improve document retrieval, and increase consistency across Legal processes
- Proactively identify gaps in document management and suggest improvements
Entity Management and Compliance
- Track corporate records, manage filing deadlines, and ensure timely submissions across jurisdictions
- Maintain compliance calendars with visibility across Finance, HR, and Legal
Contract Support and Light Drafting
- Review MNDAs, amendments, and order form exceptions, flagging issues for attorney review
- Apply AI tools to support contract review - identifying non-standard terms, summarizing provisions, and flagging risks for attorney review
Legal Team Enablement
- Partner with the Sr. Legal Ops Manager to identify and ship process improvements
- Proactively identify new AI automation opportunities and help drive implementation alongside the Sr. Legal Ops Manager
- Act as a coordination point across Legal initiatives, keeping things organized and moving
What we're looking for
- 2+ years of experience in a legal assistant, paralegal, or similar operational role (in-house or law firm)
- Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail — you catch things others miss
- Genuine comfort with AI tools, and a proactive mindset toward using technology to improve how you work
- Experience managing documents, calendars, and administrative workflows at volume
- Ability to juggle multiple workstreams and shift priorities without dropping the ball
- Clear communication skills and comfort working cross-functionally
- Demonstrated experience managing high-volume document systems (Google Drive, etc.) with strong discipline around structure, naming, and accessibility
Nice-to-haves
- Experience supporting an in-house Legal team at a SaaS or tech company
- Hands-on experience building or improving workflows through AI tools or automation
- Familiarity with contract workflows and basic legal documents (NDAs, order forms, DPAs)
- Experience with entity management tools or corporate filings
- Familiarity with CLM tools such as LinkSquares or similar platforms
- Project management or paralegal training or certification
Compensation and benefits
- Starting salary: $78,000-$89,000 depending on experience and subject to market rate adjustment
