Own and scale Vanta's Americas Solutions Engineering organization, driving technical win rates and revenue across all segments while leading a team of SEs and partnering closely with Sales, Product, and CS leadership.
What you’ll do as a Head of Solutions Engineering at Vanta
Revenue & Technical Win Rate
- Own SE attach rate, win rate, and revenue per SE across all Americas segments — Early Stage through Enterprise and Strategic
- Partner with segment Sales and Account Management leaders to ensure the right technical coverage at the right stage for every deal type
- Drive workshop-led engagement that shortens sales cycles, improves forecast accuracy, and accelerates time to value
- Build and maintain competitive positioning and technical proof points that win complex deals
- Cultivate trust and credibility with prospects and customers throughout the technical evaluation
Team Leadership
- Lead and develop a team of Solutions Engineers across Early Stage, Growth, Commercial, and Enterprise segments
- Build a culture of speed, precision, and customer obsession
- Partner with the Global Center of Excellence and Enablement to accelerate ramp time and elevate team performance
- Attract, develop, and retain top technical talent across a fast-scaling AMER organization
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Partner with the AMER GTM Leadership — proactive, data-driven, and collaborative
- Partner with segment Sales and Account Management Directors to optimize the SE motion
- Work closely with Product to surface field signal and influence roadmap priorities
- Align with Customer Success to ensure seamless handoffs and strong post-sale outcomes
- Represent NAMER Solutions in global leadership forums
Operational Excellence
- Own the SE scorecard and operating cadence for AMER: weekly readouts, QBRs, deal inspection, and forecast reviews
- Drive consistent logging and data hygiene across Salesforce, Gong, and Dust
- Define and maintain clear rules of engagement for SE coverage
- Contribute to Vanta's Global Solutions COE by building playbooks and best practices
- Design and build with AI to drive efficiency and higher-quality outcomes
How to be successful in this role
- 12+ years of experience in Solutions Engineering, pre-sales, or technical consulting in SaaS, with at least 5 years in a people leadership role
- Proven track record leading SE teams across multiple segments — ideally spanning both high-velocity SMB/Growth motions and complex Enterprise deals
- Deep experience partnering with Sales leadership at the VP and Director level
- Demonstrated ability to build operational systems that make Solutions impact measurable and repeatable
- Background in GRC, compliance, security, or identity is a strong plus
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future employer sponsorship
- Open to using AI to amplify their skills and strengthen their work
Forward Deployed Engineer, Networking
Networking specialist on the Forward Deployed Engineering team who designs enterprise deployment topologies, builds bridging integrations, and extends ADP networking primitives while working directly with customer network, security, and platform teams.
