Summary
Finance Generalist supporting financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and operational rigor at a fast-growing vertical SaaS company. Partners cross-functionally to build models, dashboards, and automated workflows that drive disciplined scaling.
About the role
What You'll Do
- Support financial planning and business visibility. Build and improve the budgets, forecasts, and operating models that support company decision-making. Partner closely with functional leaders to track KPIs, understand performance, and turn data into clear recommendations and actionable insights.
- Build operational rigor into the finance function. Help run the financial engine of the company by managing procurement and vendor workflows, partnering with outsourced accounting, supporting month-end close processes, and improving the systems and processes that keep finance operating smoothly and efficiently.
- Be a high-leverage analytical partner. Tackle a wide range of business problems – from evaluating hiring plans to analyzing marketing efficiency to building dashboards and self-serve reporting. Context-switching is part of the job. You’ll work closely with the Head of Finance to help leaders make better decisions through structured analysis and operational insight.
- Automate and improve how the company operates. Leverage AI, automation, and better systems design to eliminate manual work and improve operational efficiency. We’re looking for someone who instinctively looks for ways to build leverage, streamline workflows, and leave every process better than they found it.
What You'll Need
- 2–6 years of experience in strategic finance, business operations, consulting, banking, analytics, or operating roles at a high-growth company.
- Experience solving ambiguous business problems using structured thinking, strong business judgment, and data-driven analysis.
- Track record of working cross-functionally to improve processes, build scalable workflows, and support better decision-making.
- Strong financial modeling skills.
- Comfort working with business data, analytics tooling, and operational systems; SQL or BI tool familiarity is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools, automation, or lightweight workflows to improve efficiency and decision-making.
- Ability to quickly learn new systems, tools, and business processes in a fast-moving environment.
- High ownership and bias toward action.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to distill complexity into clear recommendations.
- Structured problem-solver with strong systems-thinking instincts and attention to detail.
- Low ego, highly collaborative approach with willingness to operate across both strategic and operational work.
