Strategic Finance Analyst
Early-career finance analyst supporting financial modeling, investor reporting, dashboards, and cross-functional planning at a fast-growing AI manufacturing startup.
What You’ll Do
- Support financial modeling work across areas like revenue forecasting, headcount planning, and cost analysis
- Help prepare materials for Board and investor reporting, including pulling data, running variance analysis, and formatting outputs
- Maintain and improve dashboards that give leadership visibility into revenue, burn, and core operating metrics
- Assist the team on go-to-market planning and pipeline analysis in partnership with Sales and RevOps
- Contribute to fundraising and strategic finance work by helping build supporting analyses and materials
- Work with teams across the company, Marketing, EPD, and People, on budgeting and headcount planning
- Help track and analyze vendor spend as part of ongoing cost management efforts
- Support the monthly accounting close and help with day-to-day financial operations
- Pick up ad hoc projects as they come up, this could include anything from market research to comp benchmarking to pricing analysis
- Look for ways to make finance processes more efficient, especially where AI tools can help
Requirements
- 0–2 years of experience in finance, investment banking, FP&A, or a similar analytical role
- Solid Excel and financial modeling skills; you’re comfortable building from scratch and cleaning up someone else’s work
- Strong attention to detail, you catch errors before they become problems
- Good communication skills; you can translate numbers into a clear story for a non-finance audience
- A willingness to roll up your sleeves and take on whatever the team needs, even if it’s outside your comfort zone
- Genuine curiosity about AI tools and how they can change the way finance teams operate
- You’re comfortable with ambiguity and don’t need everything spelled out to do good work
- You hold a high bar for quality and take pride in getting things right
- You’re energized by a fast-moving environment and want to grow quickly alongside the business
