Responsibilities
- Design, build, and ship backend services supporting Reddit’s identity and access management systems.
- Build scalable consumer IAM systems for Reddit’s engineering organization and millions of daily users.
- Define and implement the IAM vision and roadmap with product management, security, client engineering, and backend teams.
- Select, scope, and execute high-impact projects aligned with Reddit’s goals.
- Improve IAM architecture performance, scalability, and quality.
- Collaborate cross-functionally across Reddit Engineering.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience designing and developing distributed backend systems.
- Backend IAM experience in authorization or authentication.
- Proficiency in one or more general-purpose programming languages, preferably Go.
- Experience with essential cloud infrastructure, including Kubernetes, CI/CD, AWS, and Google Cloud.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary range: $164,200–$229,900 USD.
- Equity in the form of restricted stock units; some positions may also be eligible for commission.
