About the role
Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day operations and strategic planning: administrative approvals, task management, prioritizing meeting schedules, preparing and reviewing materials for executives, developing weekly and quarterly reports, overseeing annual planning and budgeting, and continuous monitoring of organizational design
Communicate priorities, activities, and results to the larger organization, ensuring deliverables are met
Build a successful and healthy organization: identify knowledge and skills gaps, design optimal workflows, align internal processes
Develop thorough understanding of Product, Operations, Legal, Finance, and overall strategic needs; drive CPO priorities by leading weekly team meetings, organizing and running team offsites, and identifying opportunities to increase leadership team effectiveness
Serve as a strategic thought partner to the CPO and Public Policy leadership team
Maintain pulse on team morale and culture; develop informal and formal feedback loops to identify unmet team needs
Identify and lead special projects to ensure new, unanticipated, or emerging issues do not fall through the cracks
Gather and analyze relevant data to generate insights, identify trends, and support evidence-based decision-making at the executive level
Collaborate with leadership team and colleagues (People, Finance, etc.) to drive employee satisfaction, headcount efficiency, professional development training, facilities planning
Requirements
7+ years experience in a combination of operations, product management, strategy, finance, consulting, government or an equivalent field
Hands-on experience in strategic planning, process improvement, project management, financial planning, organizational change, and internal communications
Proven ability to track, prioritize, and drive multiple concurrent projects to successful completion using data and metrics
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work well with executives and lead and influence across multiple levels and functions
Entrepreneurial, adaptable, high tolerance for ambiguity and complexity, effective with limited resources
Proven experience designing and leading strategic planning at a growth company
Financial prowess and ability to create budgets and analyze financial models
Past experience staffing or working directly with the C-suite/SVP level on a regular basis
Highest level of integrity, trust, and ability to manage confidential information
Low ego and low drama; ability to be a good sounding board and anticipate needs of a busy executive and direct staff
