Senior Software Engineer, Platform Engineering
Build and operate developer-facing platform services, APIs, tooling, and CI/CD workflows for product engineering teams. The role requires expert TypeScript/Node.js skills, strong Kubernetes and distributed-systems experience, production ownership, and proficiency with infrastructure automation and observability.

Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain platform services, APIs, SDKs, and internal tools used across engineering teams.
- Own platform services end-to-end, from design and implementation through production operation and continuous improvement.
- Write high-quality, testable code.
- Design and improve CI/CD workflows and developer automation for usability and efficiency.
- Apply distributed systems and backend engineering principles to build scalable, resilient services and APIs.
- Take production ownership of services and tools, including observability, debugging, incident response, and post-mortems.
Requirements
- Expert-level proficiency with TypeScript and Node.js for production-grade APIs, services, developer tools, and developer-facing UIs such as React.
- Strong automated testing practices, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals, including distributed systems, API design, and production backend services.
- Working proficiency with observability, including metrics, logging, distributed tracing, and SLI/SLO frameworks.
- Strong proficiency with Kubernetes, including building software abstractions and APIs and extending capabilities through custom controllers and operators.
- Strong proficiency designing and building CI/CD pipelines optimized for security, compliance, and developer experience.
- Working proficiency with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or Pulumi, GitOps practices, and cloud-native environments.
- Strong communication, influence, and documentation skills, including producing ADRs, runbooks, and developer-facing documentation.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience building internal developer platforms or platform-as-a-product initiatives, including developer portals and self-service tooling.
- Experience with AI/ML integration, including LLM APIs, intelligent automation, AI-assisted developer tooling, and agentic patterns.
- Working proficiency with cloud security practices such as IAM, secret handling, and encryption.
- Experience with compliance tooling such as HIPAA, SOC 2, or HITRUST.
- Experience with cloud cost optimization and FinOps.
Compensation
- Annual salary range: 142700–158600.
