Senior backend engineer responsible for designing, building, and operating cloud partner integrations across authentication, identity federation, multi-tenancy, and data movement. Responsibilities
- Own cloud partner integrations end to end, including architecture, implementation, and production operations.
- Design authentication and identity flows, multi-tenancy, data movement and residency, performance, and production behavior.
- Operate owned systems, including infrastructure, CI, deployment, observability, and on-call support.
- Build on external platforms while managing risks across trust boundaries and partner-controlled environments.
- Partner with internal teams to define interfaces, resolve dependencies, and maintain delivery momentum.
- Shape technical direction through design documents, RFCs, and written architectural decisions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience, including substantial work on data-heavy or integration-focused systems.
- Strong backend and systems engineering skills, including deployment topology, multi-tenancy, data movement, and architectural tradeoffs.
- Experience with modern authentication protocols, service principals, and identity federation across trust boundaries.
- Experience building on third-party platforms with incomplete documentation or breaking changes.
- Ability to make sound decisions amid ambiguity and identify difficult-to-reverse choices.
- Strong collaboration and written communication skills.
- Backend specialization with working proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Experience using AI development tools responsibly, such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with a major cloud data or analytics platform ecosystem.
- Experience with identity federation, partner marketplaces, or certification processes.
- Experience designing multi-tenant SaaS platforms and their isolation or deployment topology.
- Working knowledge of ClickHouse or another columnar/OLAP engine.
