Senior Network Engineer
Own and optimize ultra-low-latency network infrastructure for institutional trading across cloud, on-premises, and colocated environments. The role requires 8+ years of network or infrastructure experience, deep routing and multicast expertise, production incident leadership, and automation skills.

Responsibilities
- Own, operate, and optimize resilient, ultra-low-latency networks and physical data-center infrastructure supporting institutional trading, market data, and exchange connectivity across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Design and maintain routing, traffic segmentation, and multicast market-data architectures using BGP, OSPF, VRFs, PIM, IGMP, Arista MLAG, Cisco vPC, and VRRP.
- Deploy and operate Fortinet and Palo Alto firewalls, IPsec VPNs, SSL VPNs, and third-party connectivity.
- Drive observability and operational excellence through SNMP, gRPC telemetry, latency and packet-loss analysis, microburst detection, and network automation.
- Lead production changes, incident response, failover testing, and out-of-hours maintenance for 24/7 trading systems; participate in an on-call rotation.
- Mentor engineers and collaborate with SRE/Infrastructure, Product, and trading-system teams to improve reliability and developer velocity.
Requirements
- 8+ years of network, infrastructure, or SRE engineering experience owning production systems in financial services, electronic trading, or other latency-sensitive environments, including on-premises or colocated deployments.
- Deep expertise in multicast networking, BGP, OSPF, VRFs, high-availability architectures, low-latency data-center switching, and physical network infrastructure.
- Experience leading live incident response for production trading systems and managing risk during changes.
- Experience with Fortinet or Palo Alto firewalls, VPNs, SNMP or gRPC telemetry, Python or Ansible network automation, and Linux networking fundamentals.
- Familiarity with exchange or electronic trading systems.
- Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight.

Compensation
- Annual base salary: $186,065–$218,900 USD.
- Additional compensation may include equity, bonus eligibility, and medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) benefits.
