Responsibilities
- Drive monetization strategy through data science, including subscription conversion, churn, retention, pricing, packaging, paywalls, offers, and revenue models for new business bets.
- Design and run statistically rigorous experiments end to end, derive insights, and make strategic recommendations.
- Build data foundations for new business lines, including metrics, funnels, and unit economics.
- Serve as the lead data scientist for a product area while collaborating with product, engineering, design, and the broader data science team.
- Contribute to strong data foundations across the centralized data science organization.
Requirements
- 6–8+ years of experience in data science or product analytics, ideally owning a revenue or growth area.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, and statistical modeling.
- Extensive experimentation experience with statistical rigor.
- Hands-on experience with monetization problems such as conversion funnels, churn and retention, pricing and packaging, or new product-line economics.
- Broad data science toolkit and strong judgment in selecting appropriate methods.
- Ability to work effectively in ambiguous environments and across product, engineering, and design.
- Strong stakeholder influence and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience monetizing multiple product types, including consumer and business, self-serve and sales-assisted, or subscription and usage-based products.
- Experience taking a new product or business line from zero to initial revenue.
- Hands-on use of AI in day-to-day data science work, including agents, prompting, or small tools.
- Interest in music or creative tools.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual base salary of $220,000–$320,000, plus target equity and benefits.
