About the Work
Systems Diagnosis & Analysis: Independently analyze and root-cause complex failures involving the interaction between autonomous software stacks and vehicle hardware.
Tooling & Automation Development: Design, develop, and implement hardware and software scripts (Python/Bash) to automate fleet health monitoring and optimize vehicle uptime.
Deployment & Validation: Execute and validate critical software retrofits, firmware updates, and hardware modifications, ensuring high-fidelity integration with ADAS systems.
Process Engineering: Author and standardize Technical Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and documentation for cross-functional use by engineering and operations teams.
Technical Program Management: Lead specialized fleet-related workstreams, serving as the technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) when collaborating with Software and Hardware Engineering departments.
Incident Management: Lead technical response during critical system failures, utilizing data logs and diagnostic tools to stabilize the autonomous platform.
About You
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
OS Proficiency: Advanced command of Linux/Unix environments, including the ability to navigate file systems, analyze logs, and write/modify code to interface with hardware.
Systems Engineering: Deep understanding of the dependencies between hardware sensors (Lidar, Radar, Cameras) and software processing units.
Analytical Ability: Proven ability to troubleshoot non-linear problems using vehicle diagnostic equipment and software debuggers.
Physical Requirements: Ability to perform precision electromechanical work, including lifting 50 lbs and working in various physical orientations to access vehicle internals.
Bonus Points
- Programming: Proficiency in Python or C++ for creating diagnostic scripts.
- High-Voltage Safety: High Voltage (HV) safety certification or EPA 609 refrigerant certification.
- Domain Expertise: Direct experience with Electric Vehicle (EV) powertrains or Autonomous Vehicle (AV) sensor calibration.
- Methodology: Familiarity with 5S, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma methodologies.
Compensation: Base pay range between $58,130 and $78,170. Eligible for annual performance bonus, equity, and competitive benefits package.
