Responsibilities
- Build new features using modern best practices, including version control, continuous integration, automated tests, and daily deploys.
- Collaborate with multicultural development and implementation teams around the globe.
- Build software for groups facing challenges such as remote locations, low literacy, and limited technology experience.
- Work as part of a team to deliver product features and functionality.
- Participate in agile processes, code reviews, and release testing.
Requirements
- 2+ years of software development experience.
- Fluent in Python.
- Proven experience building quality web software.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage work proactively, surface blockers early, work autonomously, and prioritize competing tasks.
- Familiarity with Python, Django, Postgres, Elasticsearch, JavaScript, Alpine.js, HTMX, CSS, Bootstrap, and HTML.
- Experience with AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude Code.
- Enthusiasm for public health and international development.
- Familiarity with open-source technology.

- Experience with data engineering.
