Software Engineer Intern
Build and improve Notion’s product across web services, databases, applications, and tools while writing secure, tested code. The internship seeks students pursuing a related bachelor’s or master’s degree with prior internship experience and programming proficiency.

Responsibilities
- Write clean, secure, tested, and documented code.
- Design and enhance the Notion product with an AI-first mindset.
- Develop, fix, and debug software across the full stack, including web services, databases, applications, and tools.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to accomplish shared goals.
- Think critically about the implications of what you build and put users first.
- Decompose complex problems, communicate technical decisions clearly, and adapt to changing priorities.
Requirements
- Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- Must graduate before Summer 2028.
- Previous internship experience.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as TypeScript, Node.js, or Python.
- Ability to problem-solve and adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Interest in building or prototyping features with AI technologies such as large language models, embeddings, or machine learning.
- Ability to work from the New York or San Francisco office during the internship.
Nice to Have
- Expertise with technologies including TypeScript, React, and Python.
- Interests outside technology, such as art, history, or social sciences.
Compensation and Benefits
- Estimated hourly compensation for roles based in San Francisco or New York City: $57 per hour for bachelor's students and $61 per hour for master's students.
