Senior Analytics Engineer
The Senior Analytics Engineer will build and operate scalable data models, pipelines, semantic layers, and self-service data products while partnering with business stakeholders. The role requires 5+ years of analytics or data engineering experience, advanced SQL, strong dbt expertise, and familiarity with modern cloud data platforms.

Responsibilities
- Own and evolve analytics-platform components, including data models, pipelines, metric definitions, semantic layers, and self-service reporting.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data models and transformations using dbt.
- Develop trusted sources of truth for company-wide decision-making.
- Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements, understand business problems, translate needs into technical solutions, and communicate tradeoffs.
- Build dashboards, analytical tools, and enablement materials.
- Own the full lifecycle of data products, including discovery, design, implementation, testing, documentation, deployment, monitoring, governance, and iteration.
- Improve reliability, observability, performance, and data quality across ELT workflows and integrations.
- Establish standards for data modeling, testing, documentation, lineage, governance, access controls, and metric consistency.
- Use AI to improve analytics workflows and analysis.
- Triage technical and data-quality issues, identify root causes, and drive durable resolutions.
- Mentor junior analytics teammates through technical guidance, code review, and knowledge sharing.
- Help shape the Analytics technical roadmap through automation, process improvements, and scalable platform investments.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, business intelligence engineering, or a closely related field.
- Experience leading complex, cross-functional data initiatives from problem definition through delivery and adoption.
- Advanced SQL skills and experience designing, building, and operating analytical data models and pipelines.
- Strong hands-on experience with dbt, including testing, version control, documentation, orchestration, observability, and data quality management.
- Experience with modern ELT and activation tools such as Fivetran and Hightouch, or comparable technologies.
- Experience with cloud data platforms and warehouses; Google Cloud Platform and BigQuery are strongly preferred.
- Experience with business intelligence and semantic-layer tools such as Omni, Looker, Sigma, Tableau, Mode, or Hex.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts and data clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Practical experience using AI in data, analytics, engineering, or business workflows.
- Understanding of dimensional and analytical data modeling, metric governance, lineage, access controls, and trusted-source-of-truth practices.
- Experience mentoring and reviewing technical work.
- Strong communication, stakeholder-management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment.

Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary: $140,000–$165,000 USD.
- Stock options upon hire and promotion, with participation in secondary offerings and a 10-year exercise period.
