Global Payroll Operations Supervisor
Leads APAC payroll operations, managing specialists, compliance, external partners, and scalable processes across multiple countries. Requires 7+ years of global payroll experience, team-management experience, client-facing expertise, and strong knowledge of APAC payroll regulations.

Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate a team of payroll operations specialists to deliver accurate, compliant payroll on schedule.
- Hire, train, and develop team members as APAC operations scale.
- Manage team performance, KPIs, requirements, and deadlines.
- Monitor and report team progress.
- Build repeatable, measurable processes that reduce manual errors and scale to new use cases.
- Support issue resolution with government agencies, external partners, and customers.
- Drive automation and process improvements.
- Collaborate with Global Payroll Engineering and Product teams to ensure payroll software supports payroll and tax compliance requirements.
- Help prioritize and resolve product bugs, calculation errors, file-generation errors, and internal tooling needs.
- Manage relationships with third-party payroll providers and support expansion into new customer segments and geographies.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in global payroll processing.
- 2+ years managing payroll operations personnel.
- 4+ years in a client-facing role.
- Experience managing a large team.
- Strong APAC payroll experience, including countries such as the Philippines, China, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Pakistan, and Indonesia.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end payroll procedures and regulations, including taxes and Social Security registration and filings.
- Experience with in-house payroll processing and partner payroll providers.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills, including the ability to manage ad hoc projects alongside daily operations.
- Strong English fluency and communication skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Google Suite or Microsoft Office, particularly Docs, Sheets, and Excel, for data analysis and task organization.
- Familiarity with Salesforce queues, Jira, and Confluence.
- Experience using payroll-related systems and software.
