About the role

What you will do

  • Own the end-to-end thought leadership process - from original hypothesis, to data analysis and research, to production of high quality content - producing industry-leading insights about the healthcare system
  • Partner closely with Garner's leadership to identify topics where Garner can offer a unique perspective and then work with Garner's Data team to conduct analysis and research into these topics
  • Write, edit, and oversee the production of white papers, blog posts, and presentations that translate complex data into compelling narratives
  • Deliver analysis and content specifically designed to support demand generation through channels such as webinars, Garner's website, social media, and paid media
  • Support our leadership team in preparing for speaking opportunities and ensuring Garner executives bring a unique and additive perspective to the healthcare benefits conversation
  • Cultivate a network of external healthcare experts, industry leaders, and other partners to inform our insights and ensure we remain on the cutting edge
  • Work cross-functionally across Garner's Sales, Marketing, Product, Data, and other teams in support of the above objectives

The ideal candidate has

  • 8+ years of experience in a high-level analytical or storytelling role, which may include prior experience in journalism, management consulting, data science, or a comparable insights-generation function
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in healthcare or healthcare benefits
  • Relevant experience in a fast-paced or high-growth environment is a strong plus
  • The ability to tell a clear story based on large and complex datasets, including generating hypotheses to guide research and identifying the "so what" of the results
  • The ability to efficiently conduct third-party research leveraging academic and industry sources
  • The ability to write in a concise and compelling fashion, turning complex and technical content into a simple, clear, and memorable narrative
  • A natural curiosity and the ability to generate original, provocative ideas that capture the attention of our partners and potential customers
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and keep cross-functional stakeholders on track
  • The confidence and interpersonal skills to brief senior leaders and prepare them for high-profile speaking engagements
  • A desire to be a part of a high-performing, mission-driven team that operates with intense urgency, a strong sense of individual accountability, and a commitment to authentic feedback

Compensation Transparency

The target salary range for this position is $213,000 - $250,000. Individual compensation for this role will depend on various factors, including qualifications, skills, and applicable laws. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible to participate in our equity incentive and competitive benefits plans, including but not limited to: flexible PTO, Medical/Dental/Vision plan options, 401(k) with company match, flexible spending accounts, Teladoc Health and more.
