About the role
What You'll Do
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve workflows and processes for optimal efficiency, cost reduction, and scalability
- Outline, track, and report on key performance indicators to drive accountability and informed decision-making to help the facility reach new levels
- Quickly troubleshoot and solve people, process, and technology issues as you operate within a large-scale, fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Monitor and enforce adherence to strict manufacturing quality standards (including equipment maintenance and repair) and roll up your sleeves to lead by example where needed
- Lead, scale, and continuously train a team of 40+ technicians as they execute daily operational tasks across 3D printing, milling, finishing, injection processing, and assembly
- Work with other teams (Materials, Facilities, Quality, etc.) to proactively identify and address high-priority improvement opportunities
- Report directly to the facility’s Director of Manufacturing
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of experience managing a department or large team in a manufacturing environment, ideally in complex or ambiguous settings
- Ability to be full-time onsite in Carrollton, TX
- Proven track record of improving KPIs at a team and/or department level
- Comfortable performing data analysis and making decisions based on the results
- Experience reporting on performance metrics during recurring business meetings
- Passion for breaking down complex problems into smaller manageable steps to help team members effectively work through ambiguity
- High level of comfort with digital tools and technology
- Very high attention to detail and organizational skills
- Team player attitude and willingness to help others to help the team exceed expectations
- Natural curiosity and ability to learn new concepts, tools, and workflows quickly
- Strong self-motivation, self-direction, and ability to work with multiple stakeholders to push improvement initiatives to completion
- Excellent communication, change management, and stakeholder management skills
- Data-driven problem solver who can deliver results quickly (e.g., resolving complex issues in 3-5 days)
