Program Manager, Major Deployments

Owns end-to-end customer deployments of autonomous drone programs, coordinating hardware, software, operational, and compliance workstreams through rollout and stabilization. Requires at least five years delivering complex technical programs in customer-facing roles.

Responsibilities

  • Own planning and execution for commercial deployments from pilot through scaled rollout, including dock-based remote operations programs.
  • Manage scope, schedule, dependencies, and risks across hardware, software, and operational workstreams; identify technical, regulatory, and logistical issues early and develop mitigation plans.
  • Partner with customers to build Standard Operating Procedures, Safety Management System inputs, operational controls, maintenance plans, and support plans tailored to Skydio platforms.
  • Lead the handoff to steady-state operations and verify customer readiness before transitioning away.
  • Translate customer operational requirements into execution plans and clear internal deliverables.
  • Coordinate across Mission Success, Support, Product, Engineering, and Operations.
  • Align customer expectations with Skydio’s capabilities, including setting appropriate boundaries when needed.
  • Support commercial expansion, new use cases, and deployment scaling.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a customer-facing program or professional services role delivering complex technical programs.
  • Experience running multi-phase implementations that combine hardware, software, and operational process change.
  • Strong project management fundamentals, including planning, dependency tracking, risk management, and execution tracking.
  • Experience deploying new technology at customer sites, including workflow design, documentation, and training.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with comfort in customer operations meetings and internal engineering reviews.
  • Ability to independently diagnose and resolve execution problems.

Nice-to-haves

  • Hands-on experience with sUAS, robotics, or aviation-adjacent platforms.
  • FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate.
  • Familiarity with dock-based or remote/BVLOS operations.
  • Experience in global logistics or site security environments.
  • Experience working with agile product and engineering teams on customer-driven roadmaps.

Compensation

  • Annual base salary: $150,000–$180,000.
  • Equity through stock options.
