Staff Software Engineer
Own the architecture and end-to-end development of a security product’s API and UI, integrating high-volume telemetry, alerting, classification, and cloud audit data. The role requires production-grade Go experience, full-stack range, distributed systems expertise, and strong architectural judgment.
About the job
Responsibilities
- Own the architecture and long-term direction of the security product’s API and UI, including telemetry consumption and platform evolution.
- Define and enforce data contracts between the security product and alerting, classification, and ingestion services.
- Integrate telemetry from syslog, NetFlow, SNMP, firewall systems, OpenTelemetry, EDR, and MDR sources into a consistent analyst-facing model.
- Make cloud environments and their audit trails a first-class part of the product.
- Surface enriched entities, alerts, and topology for security investigations, partnering with analysts and domain experts.
- Drive architectural decisions in ambiguous, cross-functional areas and deliver durable outcomes.
- Establish technical patterns and standards for the engineering team.
- Mentor engineers on application architecture and Go engineering practices.
- Take on additional responsibilities and projects as needed.
Requirements
- Deep, production-proven experience with Go, including designing, building, and owning services end to end from API design through deployment and operations.
- Full-stack experience owning backend and API layers as well as UI or front-end product experiences.
- Production experience with high-volume, latency-sensitive infrastructure, including distributed messaging or event streaming and search or indexing at scale, or equivalent technologies.
- Experience with contract-driven development across teams using schema or interface definitions such as protobuf.
- Ability to ramp quickly into unfamiliar technical or business domains and reason clearly about systems you did not build.
- Experience owning architectural decisions in ambiguous, cross-functional environments and influencing shared standards.
- Ability to operate autonomously when requirements are incomplete or competing.
- Working knowledge of cloud environments and how they are operated and audited in production.
Benefits
- Room to grow at a high-growth company.
- An environment that celebrates ideas and innovation.
- Work with tangible impact.
- Flexible time off.
- Fun events.
